AsterColourful annuals with bright chrysanthemum-like flowers. Asters are frost tender and prone to wilt disease. Do not plant in soil which has grown asters the previous year - a light sandy soil, well prepared but not heavily manured is advised. Stake tall varieties grown for cut flowers.

Timing:

Plant in spring and summer for flowers in summer to autumn. Can plant in winter in tropics.

Pinks, reds, purples, blues & whites.

Use:
