CampanulaThere are numerous low growing perennial lilac-blue campanulas, but it is the taller growing biennial known as Canterbury Bells which is most commonly sold in seedling punnets. These hardy frost tolerant plants with spikes of bell-shaped flowers do best in cool temperate climates and are a favourite early summer flower in an herbaceous border. Cut stems after flowering and they will flower the following year.
