A plant for a hot spot, with feathery plumes and bright contrasting foliage. Celosia are sensitive to cold and frost and require shelter from strong winds. With regular watering in summer they will provide flushes of flowers (plumes) over summer. Avoid overhead watering which may lead to rotting.
Plant from spring to summer to flower in spring and summer, 6-8 weeks after planting. Can plant in winter tropics.
20-35cm dwarf, 60cm for tall varieties.
Red, yellow, orange.
Mass displays, borders, pots, cut flowers. Taller types are good for background accents in garden beds.
