CornflowerThe old-fashioned cornflower bears deep blue long lasting ruffled flowers on tall stems, but it now comes in other colours too. Best in temperate climates, it will tolerate frost and drought. It prefers well-drained soil.

Timing:

Plant in autumn and winter to flower in spring and early summer.

Positioning:

Full sun.

Height:

60-70cm

Planting Distance:

30-35cm

Colour:

Traditionally deep blue; also pink and white.

Use:

Cottage gardens, background planting, cut flowers.
