Tall, stately spikes of flowers in rich colours, delphiniums are perennials that flower in spring and if cut back may reflower in autumn. They perform better in cooler climates and are best treated as annuals in warmer locations.
Timing:
Plant all year round for flowers from spring to autumn. Will flower 12-18 weeks after planting.
Positioning:
Sun or semi-shade.
Height:
60-120cm
Planting Distance:
30-50cm
Colour:
Predominantly shades of blue & white, also pinks.
Use:
Massed displays, herbaceous borders, cottage gardens, clumps or drifts in the garden, cut flowers.
