NigellaWith its delicate, feathery appearance, Nigella is a favourite for old-fashioned cottage gardens. A self-sowing hardy annual it does well in warm to cool areas and in most soils. The attractive seed pods are popular for indoor decoration and dried flower arrangements.

Timing:

Plant all year round; best to plant in autumn to flower 12-14 weeks after planting.

Positioning:

Sun to semi-shade.

Height:

30-40cm

Planting Distance:

15-20cm

Colour:

Blues, pinks, purples and white.

Use:

Informal borders, cottage gardens, Mass plantings, cut flowers.
