PortulacaThese low growing fleshy annuals with their brilliantly coloured flowers which open in the sun and close in dull conditions should be grown where it is hot and dry. They will grow in almost any soil but should be protected from frost. They cascade wonderfully from hanging baskets and pots.

Timing:

Plant in spring to summer to flower in summer. Will flower 6-8 weeks after planting.

Positioning:

Full sun.

Height:

15-20cm

Planting Distance:

10-20cm

Colour:

Mixes and separates of pink, red, yellow, orange, cream and white.

Use:

Garden beds, rockeries, edging, tubs and hanging baskets.
