SalpiglossisTall growing annual with veined petunia-like trumpet shaped flowers. Not commonly grown. They do best in mild climates with cool summers where they need a warm sunny aspect sheltered from wind, fertile soil and regular watering.

Timing:

Plant in spring for flowers summer. Will flower 8-10 weeks after planting.

Positioning:

Full sun.

Height:

75cm

Planting Distance:

20-30cm

Colour:

Often bi-coloured, streaked with gold, they come in rich shades of reds, pinks, blues, purple and white.

Use:

Background, borders, cut flowers.
