Spikes of highly fragrant pastel coloured flowers. Tall and dwarf varieties are available. Requiring good drainage and protection from strong wind, stocks are among the best annuals for spring flowering.
Timing:
Plant autumn to winter to flower in late winter and spring.
Positioning:
Full sun.
Height:
Dwarf varieties 25-30cm, tall varieties up to 80cm.
Planting Distance:
20-30cm for dwarf and column varieties, 30-40cm for taller, branching types.
Colour:
Pastel pinks, lavender, lilac, rose, cream and white.
Use:
Mass display, borders, cut flowers and containers (dwarf varieties).
